Our society strives to promote professional working relationships among ornithologists, mammalogists, herpetologists, and ichthyologists in our region.

Current SNVB Members receive Northwestern Naturalist, the Society’s scientific journal; the Murreletter, our newsletter, and discounts on Society meetings and publications.

An online archive to full articles of Northwestern Naturalist is also available to members through our free society member access program at BioOne. Login to our site (link in red at very bottom of each page of this site as well as under “My Account” in the main navigation menu) then proceed to member content page to access to the archive.

Northwest Fauna is our society’s series of biological monographs. Copies of most of the individual editions are available for purchase on that page. Early, out of print editions are available for download as .pdf’s on our member content page which is accessible when are logged in to our site.

We are also proud to offer an opportunity for one student to receive our annual $1000 scholarship. Check out our scholarship overview page as well as our list of past recipients and their projects.

We also maintain a library of links to other web sites containing ecological information that may be of interest to the membership.
